Running for Hope is a 5k walk run around the track at BHHS. Our mission is to bring community members together in vital conversation around eliminating stigma, raising awareness, and finding integrated, person-centered ways to approach the journey toward mental health.
At the event, Daniel Laitman with be performing his increasingly hilarious standup. Rachel Laitman and her band will be rocking out; it’s a family affair (rachellaitman.com). Hakeem Rahim will speak out about acceptance and his own journey with mental illness. Famed marathoner Bill Rogers will share personal insights. There will be music from Lagond Music School. Representatives from a variety of mental health organizations will be present to share their wisdom.
Know science, No stigma.
There is a better way.
All we have to do is devote the appropriate resources and face our fears.
Help us make meaningful recovery the norm, and not the exception.
